In the 1995 Age of Apocalypse crossover, plotted by Scott Lobdell, Mark Waid, Fabian Nicieza and collaborators across Earth-295, Wolverine exists as Weapon X, a covert operative for the Human High Council in a timeline where Apocalypse rules a conquered North America. This alternate Logan eventually splits from Jean Grey over the Council's ruthless tactics, years before later stories recast him as the timeline's own dark ruler. Iron Studios renders this version in Earth-295's distinct combat gear rather than his classic costume.
