Curator's note
Janet van Dyne, created by Stan Lee, Ernie Hart and Jack Kirby, first appearing in Tales to Astonish #44 (1963). After her father's death at the hands of an alien, she sought out scientist Hank Pym and became the Wasp; when the fight that followed drew in Thor and Iron Man, it was Janet who proposed they form a team and gave the Avengers their name. Iron Studios captures her airborne on insectoid wings, blasters charged.
