Forge - Marvel Comics

Curator's note

Forge, created by Chris Claremont and John Romita Jr., first appearing in Uncanny X-Men #184 (1984). A mutant inventor with an intuitive genius for machines, he lost a leg and a hand in Vietnam while unwittingly summoning the demon Adversary to Earth, then built his own cybernetic replacements. His Neutralizer device, meant to strip mutant powers, instead cost Storm her abilities, the accident that began their long, complicated romance.
