Curator's note

Sam Wilson debuted as the Falcon in Captain America #117 (1969), created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan as Marvel's first Black superhero, decades before taking up the shield. Steve Rogers passed him the mantle in Captain America #25 (2014) by Rick Remender and Carlos Pacheco, after a serum failure left Rogers unable to continue. Iron Studios' Deluxe statue, drawn from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's finale, stands over eighteen inches tall and sets him skimming the Hudson River on his redesigned wings.
