Batman & Robin Deluxe By Frank Miller - The Dark Knight Returns

Curator's note

Bruce Wayne and Carrie Kelley, from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns (1986), illustrated with Klaus Janson and colored by Lynn Varley. A fifty-five-year-old Batman comes out of retirement into a decaying Gotham, and thirteen-year-old Carrie Kelley, after trailing him one night, becomes his new Robin rather than the boy the name once belonged to. This deluxe piece from Iron Studios pairs the two in the redesigned armor Miller gave Batman for his final crusade.
